Yesterday we had a MUCH needed snow day so Daddy was able to stay home with us! I say much needed due to a couple of reasons:
1. Kase has been home with me all week (usually he goes to the babysitter) and I fear that if Keith weren't home Kase and I would be fighting all.day.long. That kid is stubborn so the snow day was a nice break in a potentially stressful week.
2. I have mastitis...which means I feel like I got hit and run over by a bus, among other "issues". It's not easy to care for an infant and toddler when you're sick...mommies don't get sick days.
It was a great snow day...there should be more of these...except minus the snow.
First up we painted the alphabet letters for Lydia's room.
(pictures to come soon on her finished room)
I purchased wooden letters before she was born and Kase always had a fascination with the "O" letter so we let him paint it.
Then after nap Kase and Daddy bundled up to scoop snow and have some playtime! We had to convince Kase that it was "fun" to dress up in multiple layers and then go outside in the cold, but I think he had a great time since they were outside for over 1 1/2 hours!
Keith tried to show Kase all about snow angels.
"Where is the angel, Dad?"
this picture cracks me up...not sure what their conversation was but I think it's just funny to see them relaxing in the snow
Kase thought it was hilarious to throw snow balls at the window at me. Molly, however, was not amused...she FREAKED OUT!
I asked him if he could smile for the picture and he says, "No Mommy, I'm just cold."
How many people/animals is Daddy able to snuggle with at the same time?
my loves
Kase was quite restless in his bed this afternoon for nap so I let him have a little napping "treat" :)
this little lady is 6 weeks old today!
So true: "there should be more snow days ... without the snow!"
ReplyDeleteIt was nice to have Matt home too.
And I'm sorry to hear you have mastitis. The worst. I hope you heal soon! :(
