photo update

Here's a photo update for you blog readers!

One of Kase's friends was nice enough to give him a set of Buzz Lightyear wings.
They light up.
They speak.
They open and close.
They're.........great?!

Little Sis had her first taste of a chocolate bar!

Kase started working on his Christmas list.

We played dress-up!

he was supposed to be resting...

Yep, those are my sunglasses (upside down), a q-tip in mouth, pencil in hand, and a pocket full of fuzzy balls...apparently "rest time" was not successful today.

Uncle Bill's

Today I took Kase (& Lydia) to Uncle Bill's Pumpkin Farm.  I told Kase that we were going to a "surprise", loaded up the kids and drove off!  We would have loved for Keith to come with us, but the price of admission raises from $7/person to $9/person on Saturdays...no thank you!

The first thing we did was "milk" the cow.  I was extremely surprised to see that he was willing to do this based on his previous incidents with cows (he's terrified of both real and fake cows).  But, after Mommy milked the cow, he thought it was great!

At first this was all the closer he would get to the goats.  Once again, his fear of real animals that make noise prevented him from getting too close!

...then he decided it would be fun to feed the goats some hay.

"Howdy!"

Kase would have been 100% content if his surprise was simply playing in this litttle playhouse.  He played in here the longest of all the "attractions"!

Lydia was there too

This thing was awesome and completely hilarious to watch.  It was a huge "jumping pillow" much like a trampoline.  Most of the kids had such slippery socks that they couldn't climb up the sides of the pillow.  Kase, however, had grippers on the bottom of his socks today so he climbed up so easily.  He pointed this out to the other kids who were falling down the sides.  "You need gripper socks like me," he'd tell the other kids, then proceed to show them the bottom of his socks.  It was great!

No trip to a pumpkin farm is complete without playing in the corn bin!  Lydia was NOT impressed.

We also took home a few pumpkins, but Kase refused to take a picture in the pumpkins, and Lydia was ready to go home.  I learned a few lessons on this trip to Bill's...
1.  A double stroller does NOT fit through the door
2.  Bring your own snacks (we could have purchased some but I refuse to pay that much for a snack)
3.  Attempt to take pictures in the pumpkins first, not last.

Overall, it was a successful and fun trip.  Not sure if it's worth the $9/person, but maybe once per season it wouldn't be SUCH a bad thing!

to crawl or not to crawl?

"Hi Momma, lemme show you my tricks"

"Still watchin?"

"Still watchin Momma?"

"Uh, what just happened?"

"That was fun, right Momma, right?!"

Kase is REALLY taking this whole don't-get-in-sister's-face thing to heart!

And this is where she ended up! She's got scooting backwards down!
