I'm a busy boy
Today after supper I was on a mission! I scooted myself backwards into the corner by our patio door and found Molly's basket of boys! OH BOY! And then it was time for...
he did so good, and now...
is a blondie!
It's becoming more and more difficult to get him to sit still these days!
He very rarely sits still anymore...but still no forward crawling. He loves standing next to furniture, climbing onto our laps, and spin in circles to play with all of his toys.
But who could resist this cute face? :)

Kase Michael, you bring more joy to our lives than we ever thought possible. Seeing you grow is truly amazing. Your Mommy & Daddy love you more than you could ever know, and we're so thankful for you!

my friend walker
This weekend I had a playdate with my friend, Walker Kelderman. We had lots of fun, I like playing with my friends. Our mommies and daddies said they had a good time too, but all they did was just sit around and talk. Sounded boring to me, I'd rather play with toys. Walker and I were told that someday we're going to be two crazy little boys, running around and playing ball just like our daddies did. That would be cool...I like playing with my basketball! I showed off my chubby cheeks to Walker. We also had our first wrestling match, and I won! :) I can't wait to have another playdate with Walker. Hopefully next time my other friend Albany can come!

messy face & busy boy
Apparently Kase's supper was so delicious he wanted to keep some food on his face for later! Tonight he had some homemade beef stew, some bread with apples (like jelly), and a sweet potato/spinach/pea mixture...delicious...I guess!
Kase has mastered scooching backwards, but has yet to figure out how to crawl forwards! Tonight he got himself caught in between the entertainment center & the wall.

Rocking Chair Poem
Precious little babe of mine,
miraculous by God's design.
I marvel at the sight of you,
so soft and blue and fresh and new.
You are Heaven in disguise,
with Mommy's smile
and Daddy's eyes.
You're everything I'd hoped you'd be,
handpicked for our family.
And as we rock the night away,
I wish that you could always stay
safe within my loving arms,
far from heartaches, hurts, and harms.
But just as night just lead to dawn,
time will not stop marching on.
And though you seem so slight and small,
I know that in no time at all
we'll trade in this rocking chair
for wheels that carpool here and there.
Then, in your "bigness" you might think
that mom's arms have begun to shrink.
And so I pray that as you grow,
you will not hesitate to go
to the hands that hold each star,
the arms that reach to where you are.
May you climb upon the knee
of the Maker of eternity,
and discover that the lap of grace
is a safe and precious place.
For now, sweet one, I hold you tight,
but surrender you in prayer each night
to the only One I know
who has the arms you won't outgrow.
