Did you guys know how awesome summer is? I had a great night tonight. My mom, dad and I had our first firepit of the summer. And, my Uncle Josh came to visit too!

After our supper we had some fun playing in the grass.
It kind of tickles my feet, but I'll get used to it.

Kurious Kase

Now that Kase is mobile, there is no stopping him from getting into things. One of his favorite activities is finding new cupboards, drawers, etc that he has not been into yet, and emptying them! I've had to re-arrange a few places to make it more baby friendly!


The bottom kitchen drawer is filled with paper plates, bibs, and plastic cups.

Apparently we need to find a lock for our toilets

He also found the garbage bags in the bathroom

At Nana's house he found the cupboard filled with her Tupperware

But when your baby is this cute you just let him do whatever he wants :)
Just kidding, of course, but seriously how do you say no to such a cute kid?!

Kase turns 11 months

Today was Kase's 11 month birthday. Since Keith's on summer break they got to spend some great Daddy-Son quality time! Knowing that we have grandmas & aunts who like updated pictures, Keith was a great photographer today and took pictures of their daily activities. Mommy is having a difficult time realizing that next month Kase will be *gasp* 1 year old...I'm going to say that again in hopes that I'll be OK with it...Kase is going to be a one-year-old. WOW! OK, I'm not going to dwell on the future, but enjoy the present. Here was Kase's 11-month birthday day:

After waking up and breakfast it was time for some booksThen Kase's second-favorite activity (behind playing ball), a walk!
Our walk was followed by some SERIOUS play time.












He had some lunch......and then it was time for a nap.
Who wouldn't love waking up to this face?Then it was snack time and more play time








Then...Mommy was home!We had some play time with Mommy...
...had a bath with all of my bath toys......and finally some books with Mommy before bedtime.It was a pretty great day! Daddy says he's going to retire and be a full-time stay-at-home Dad! I don't think he can retire...but I'm sure both Kase & Daddy (& Molly) will enjoy the summers that they have together! Our sweet boy is getting sweeter by the day...we are SO lucky!

what's new with kase?

Our sweet Kase-Man is growing up so fast! It seems like he changes and grows every day. His first tooth finally popped through about a week ago, the next few teeth can't be far behind! He's pulling himself up onto anything and everything, is opening cupboard doors, is walking along furniture, and climbs the stairs (when Mommy's not watching). Since it's been awhile since I've updated, this post will be long, but filled with pictures...I'm sure no one will object :) Here's what's up in the world of Kase:

I really like being by my mommy. If I see her and I'm not in her arms...I cry. I just really love my mommy.
It was really hot out for a few days. After our walk I was really hot and found this air register...it felt really good. Also notice my pretty puppy who is about to pass out behind me...she's hot too!
Mom gave me some watermelon too.
She thought it might help cool me down.
Do I like it? I don't know.
TULIP TIME!!!
I saw my first parades at Tulip Time.
The big floats were totally awesome. I'm not sure about the noisy bands...
"Hi guys...it's really hot out here. I'm just going to sit here in the shade and look pretty."
Look what I found!!! :)

As you can see from the pictures and his growing cheeks, Kase LOVES to eat! He is a big fan of Mommy's homemade baby food. His favorite foods are yogurt, string cheese, spaghetti, fruit, minestrone, sweet potatoes, OK let's face it...he loves all food. He's also in a screaming phase. Usually the screaming occurs in his car seat or high chair. This scream isn't a mild whine either. This scream is a high-pitched-goosebumps-annoying-temper tantrum type scream. Get the picture?! ;) It's hard to believe that our little boy is almost 11 months old. I VIVIDLY remember this time last year, and the hot weather this past week brought back many fond memories of being 9 months pregnant.

Keith is down to 1 week left of school...me too...but I have to work through the summer. Keith's very much looking forward to this next season of life as a stay-at-home dad! This summer is going to be filled with many Daddy, Kase & Molly days and HOPEFULLY a move to Montezuma!!! Our house selling process is going slowly. We've had a number of people come through, but no offers yet. It's too bad patience is not one of our virtues! It's a good thing that God has taught us that waiting for things is worth it!
